Over two decades of practice as a public artist, designer, and educator have given me something that is hard to teach and harder to find; the ability to move fluidly between the creative, the institutional, and the civic. I know how funding works because I have pursued it. I know how public art gets built because I have built it. I know how design firms think because I was trained as one of them.
